As everyone know I went to see Ray at Ramside Hall yesterday and it was an amazing day,so glad I went :D.Before i start I'll just say it was lovely meeting up with Vivienne,Pearl,Barbara,Tina,Charl,Laura,Chrissy and her friend and Anne and her husband.I also met Lynne :).It was lovely seeing you all

Ramside Hall was really lovely,the rooms were really big and the marquee was decorated so nice with a walk way to the marquee :).The waiting staff worked so hard to get everyone fed as quickly as possible,which I thuoght I'd mention :)The meet and greet was only for people who had a special ticket,but fortunately most of RQW managed to get one so we were lucky :D.

Ray sang 6 songs,Fly Me To The Moon,Crazy Little Thing Called Love,Aint That A Kick In The Head,Smile ,My Way and Mack The Knife.His vocals were so beaufiful and he looked so smart,wearing a jacket I found out later was a birthday present from his mum and dad :D.The tables were situated quite a way from the stage,but we were able to get up and watch the show from the dance floor and I had a really good spot :D.

After the show at the meet and greet Ray was really friendly and chatty,and signed loads of autograph and had heaps of pictures done.The whole thing was mildly disrupted my 3 people moaning about Ray's set,Ray's security calmed the situation well.One of them even started on at me because she knew I run RQW.Ray was only booked for a 6 song set,which Ray sang superbly,plus the meet and greet and for only £20 a ticket in this day and age I think that was an absolute bargain :).I know everyone from RQW had a brillaint time

I had it in mind to ask,but it was Vivienne who asked Ray if he would have a picture taken with all of us,and Ray was so lovely,he took the time to have picture taken after the meet and greet was finished :D.

After the show we were really tired so went back to our room,but got lost and Barbara showed us the way back :),on the way back we spotted Ray in the bar,so I stopped to chat for a bit,which was an extra bonus to a fab night out

lovely review amanda, really like the red thread in his jacket, what a lovely prezzie off his parents. made up you had a fantastic time & got to chat to him,

 i thought 6 songs and a meet & great is great value for money, shame on those 3 people moaning & how dare they have a go you hun coz you  run a fantastic website dedicated to Ray.

Thanks for a lovely review Amanda. Sounds like it was a great night. Nice that you could all be together and have a photo with Ray. Some people are never satisfied. You don't get much now days for £20 but you got all of Ray for that which is worth a lot more and a meal thrown in. Fancy taking it out on you, silly b----ers. Glad it got sorted in the end and you got to have a chat with Ray in the bar. All in all a great night .

Thanks for the great review Amanda.  I'm not usually envious of people seeing shows that I can't get to and am happy to see the pictures and read the reviews but I must admit I am envious of last night as it sounds like it was a really lovely evening.

Ray always seems to give a lot of time over for his fans. As for those who are moaning...some people are never satisfied, what more do they want for £20...I think that was very good value for money.

I am no good at reviews, but just to say I had a great time and it was good to meet people from here. Ray was very good, and his vocals are great now, so improved since I saw him last which was grease. I was not lucky enough to get a ticket for the meet and greet, but was on the group photo. And that was a great review Amanda.

As Amanda has said in her review, I went with Barbara to Ramside Hall on Friday and, despite the 350 mile drive to get there (!!) it was an absolutely amazing evening and well worth the journey! As Amanda said, the hotel was really lovely and we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, It was also lovely to see RQW members that I knew and also meeting a few new ones and great to be able to be in the group photo with Ray!

As for the show, it was just awesome! It was great that we were able to go up on to the dance floor and watch the show, and I managed to get very near the front and had a fantastic view!! Ray's performance was outstanding and you could tell that he was just loving every minute of it. There were approximately 750 people in the room (!!) and the dance floor was packed when Ray walked on and they were all cheering him when he stepped on stage! He looked out at the crowd and said "I haven't had a crowd like this for a very long time"!! He was just overwhelmed and just kept smiling the whole time. At one point, he even tried to pull his upper lip down, as he said he was smiling so much it felt like it was stuck!!!! Really funny to see, but you could tell he was just so, so thrilled to be there in front of that audience - it made me feel really proud and pleased for him!!

I was fortunate enough to meet Ray afterwards and as always he was an absolute delight and we did have a bit of a laugh and a photo taken. Not sure how mine has come out, but will look later to see!! Ray was so good with everyone at the meet and greet and everyone (apart from a few very narrow minded people!) were really thrilled to be given the opportunity to speak to him, have an autograph and a photo and he was so lovely with every single one of them (and there many!!).

All in all it was an absolutely amazing evening and so worth it, despite the long drive! It is just so lovely to hear Ray sing swing and you can tell that he loves it, which makes it so much more enjoyable for us. His vocals have come so far since his X Factor days (and he was fantastic then!!), that is just a sheer pleasure listening to him sing live!

That's a lovely account of your trip to Ramside, Lynne. What a brilliant surprise for your Mum's 80th Birthday. She clearly loved seeing Ray and hearing him sing live. He is always so generous  with his fans and as you said, such a gentleman. A real role model for young people.

I would have loved to have been there too, as it was my birthday, but my sister passed away that week.

Thanks for the review Lynne- what a lovely evening you and your mum had. It was incredible value for £20- you would normally pay more than that just for a meal. To get ray aswell is unbelievable. If I hadn't been on holiday I would definately have gone.
