Had to open a new thread,hope that's o.k with everyone

Loved Ray's jumps in the vt tonight,I thought they were fab :D.I do still think the vt's for the returning celebs could be longer though.

Loved the Defying Gravity routine,thought the pros were fantastic

Celebrity wise,I thought Sam was good this week,also liked Vanilla,Chloe,Laura and Johnson

Yeah, I was hoping for more too.  Laura, Chloe, Vanilla were great though I thought Vanilla was undermarked,  and Jeff is improving nicely.  Sam was good but just don't like him performing, there's something missing, plus I can't take to hime. 

At least we got to see Ray a bit :),although a little more would have been nice :).I missed Jeff out,I thought he was really good too :).I'm not really keen on Sam,but thought his routine was quite good tonight :).I really like Vanilla Ice,he is improving every week,and isn't afraid to try new things

Yes I agree some good performances last night from Jeff, Chole, Laura and Vanilla.But like you ,although Sam is skating well, I just don't like him as a performer. I was very surprised the judges saved Kerry - I don't think that would have happened if Karen and Nicky had been on the panel as well. I don't like Dave either but at least his jumps were more accomplished. Also we needed more of Ray !!

Haha,I agree we did need more Ray,but least we got a little glimpse :).

I wasn't really fussed who went last night,I don't think Kerry will last much longer though.Sam is not a patch on Ray,and never will be in my opinion, he hasn't got the personality of Ray or the technique and isn't graceful on ice at all.I'm glad Laura is catching him up though,and Chloe and Jeff aren't far behind.I woul like to see Vanilla catch him up too

I really hope Sam doesn't win after the sleaze we were subjected to last week. Every day a new story with intimate details  of his "relationship" with Brianne and tacky staged  photos. The story was sold to numerous papers and it now turns out it was false and Sam has apologised to the Producer for misleading them. .He is now saying they were "together" but not now. Apparently they had filmed a Valentines special video of the two of them but producers were forced to abandon it last night after the facts came to light. I found the intimate photos of Sam and Alexandra together appalling too. Are people losing interest in the show so much that they feel they have to resort to this?

 The show has really descended to an all-time low in terms of Sleaze imo. Sam is a good enough skater to let his skating do the talking as Ray and Chris and others did. They did not need to bring the show into disrepute so why does he?

Frankly I am not that interested in the show this year now. I Sky+ it and can watch it in about 40 minutes cutting out the adverts, fillers and training videos. I am not too fussed about any of the skaters, but quite like Laura as a person and particularly Vanilla Ice, who seems to have the right attitude, having fun and working hard. Would like either of those two to win now. I really used to look forward to DOI each week but tbh I wouldn't be worried if I missed it now and that is such a shame.

I was disappointed from the start with the changes that had been made with the panel and I didn't believe the romance thing at all and got really annoyed when the judges went on about the connection as when they look at each other they could be looking at stone.  Also annoyed that they used Ray, Chris and Hayley making a big thing about them coming back to feature the skills and we've seen very little of them.  Also not much skating from Chris and Jayne, fine if it's their decision but not if it is down to the producers.

It almost looks as if Chris and Jayne have lost a bit of interest this year to me. Their routines for the celebs are mostly tired and boring.Totally agree Loulou, I am disappointed in so many things this year quite apart from the adverse publicity about Sam etc. No atmosphere with the audience too far away, the makeup of the judging panel, the routines, the endless adverts, the hyping up of what will happen (and then it doesn't! as in bringing Ray and Chris back), the lack of pro routines, the camera work.  the "ice-pick" the eliminations for the first two weeks, the choice of "celebs".It started to go downhill last year, but this year it really has reached its nadir. I really believe series 3 and 4 were the highs (irrespective of Ray being there). Maybe the show has now finally run its course? Such a shame!

I completely agree with alfie and Loulou plus I  thought that they kept Kerry Katona in purely because she generates more publicity than the person who went out. He wasn't a great skater but he was a lot better than Kerry. I really feel it is loosing its credibility. It also still annoys me that they never released the DVD of the series Ray was in despite Phillip Schofield saying at the time that there would be a series DVD.

I think it was very misleading the way the made a big thing of Ray,Chris and Hayley coming back,but in actual fact,have hardly featured them,which is a shame

As for Sam and Brianne,I never really took much notice when they were together,and as for the other stuff in papers about Sam,I never really pay much attention to that either.

It would have been nice to see more of Ray,but least we got a little bit :).I like Vanilla Ice too

It was nice to see Ray yesterday, loved seeing  the splits again, too short clip though and was hoping they'd do a backstage bit with Ray like Hayley on the website.

Not too fussed about the celebs this year either, or the changes to the show.

All the tabloid gossip about Sam has really put me off him:/

He's a good skater and would pull the votes anyway, without going to such lengths as a fake romance to try and drum up more votes

At least he isn't running away with the competition. Laura has now equalled him with Chloe and Jeff not far behind:)

I hope Vanilla Ice can improve too:)

I lovee Jeff so much, he's adorable (&not a bad sk8er either):)Vanilla is a class act , loads ov spunk & charisma!:DAint a half bad series but theres been much better!

Not everyone can like the same things Rachelle,I just don't really like this series,I don't know may of the celebs and I don't like the new format much,i'm pleased you're enjoying this series though

Saw a little glimpse of Ray in the Ultimate Skills vt :),i'll try and get a couple of Screen shots later

I liked Vanilla Ice this week,so pleased he got a great score,also like Laura this week as well
