This summer’s brand new series of School Musical, presented by multi-million record selling singer and stage star Duncan James, is already proving to be extremely popular with more than 450 schools across the UK battling it out for the chance to be the chosen school. Capturing the excitement and enthusiasm across the country this new series will start with the school search.The show is scheduled to be aired in August on Sky 1,comprising of 7- 1 hour episodes and a special 90 minute finale,where the chosen school will perform their production.Grease has been announced as the chosen musical for the new series and the cast of the hit Westend musical will be on hand throughout the series to offer help and advice to the pupils.The live finale of the show will take place on Sunday 9th August at the Novello Theatre,Aldwych,London.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Show 1 will comprise of auditions at 6 schools up and down the country.
Show 2 culminates in a studio sing-off between the top 3 schools capturing the tension and jeopardy for the schools – pupils and teachers alike.
The remaining show will track the journey of the show from school to stage,ending in a 90 minute finale of the finished production.
