In 2004 when Ray was just 16 years old he recorded an episode of the BBC TV Series The Afternoon Play,the title of his episode was The Singing Cactus in this episode he plays a young boy called John Reilly who is still grieving after the death of his father.In his grief he flees into his own world with his singing cactus.This is a world of native American mysticism,morris dancers and a ominous wolf!!
