In the summer of 2006 an 18 year old Raymond Quinn was to embark on one of the biggest journeys of his life!!Ray's big break belief or not was initially the idea of Ray's dad,he suggested it as a fathers day present for his youngest son to give to him.So Ray agreed,and off he went to start the biggest journey of his life.Ray went to audition for then X factor judges Simon Cowell,Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in Manchester,his number was 30010,an number he would never forget.He auditioned with his favourite song Ain't that a kick in the head,followed by Devil In Disguise.He sailed through to Bootcamp.Once there Ray stumbled on his words at a crucial moment.Simon however decided to give Ray another chance and he went through to judges homes.He decided to sing Smile and after an agonising wait Simon put him through to the live finals
